One-day Crowns
The Dental Spot has a CEREC machine right in our office, which means patients are able to get a completed crown the same day they come in for their appointment. No longer do you have to gag on impression material, have a temporary crown placed and then come back to the office weeks later to have the temporary crown removed and the permanent crown put in place.
The Dental Spot’s CEREC machine allows Dr. Nicholas Matthews and Dr. Christine Matthews to personally design your crown and have it milled right in our office. Using CEREC technology means not having to rely on messy impression materials to record the shape of your tooth. Instead, your tooth is optically scanned with a special camera and sent to the computer. The computer then designs a 3D model of the crown to be milled right in the office, rather that being sent out to a laboratory, to be made by a lab technician you’ve never met. Dr. Nicholas Matthews and Dr. Christine Matthews personally supervise the creation of your dental restorations to make sure they are perfect before they are placed in your mouth. At other dental offices, you may have to return up to as many as three appointments before your permanent crown is ready.
Not only does CEREC technology save your time, it also saves money. Since we create our crowns in-house, there is no additional laboratory fee or extra appointment charges.
CEREC Porcelain Veneers
